Hi, I’m Daniel Ruby. As the first marketer at cloud monitoring provider Stackdriver, my time is mostly spent doing research on AWS usage, growing Stackdriver’s already impressive stable of DevOps professionals, and generally living technology. My research has been featured in TechCrunch, NPR, ReadWriteWeb, and a host of other news sources. My expertise has been sought by CNN Money, E-Commerce Times, AdWeek, and more.
My background is extremely varied, but always skewed towards technology. My undergraduate degree is in journalism, received from the University of Missouri – Columbia, and I have an MBA from Brandeis University. During my career, I’ve spent time as a Geek Squad agent, an IT manager, a marketing director, and even an English teacher in Tokyo. Now with Localytics, I’m constantly amazed at how well analytics and numbers speak to an objective truth.
